PoolTest PT500 Water Quality Tester

The PoolTest PT500 Tablet Tester is a practical tool for any pool owner who wants to keep their water clean and safe. The tester allows you to easily measure the chlorine and pH values of your pool water. You drop in the appropriate tablets, shake and read the values against the light. Ideal values for Cl are 0.4 - 0.8 and for pH 6.8 - 7.3.

If the test results are not within the norm, the product recommends treating the pool water with pool chemistry. First adjust the pH value and then the chlorine value. This procedure ensures that your pool will always be in ideal swimming condition.

In addition, the tester comes with the option to purchase replacement test tablets, extending its life and usefulness.

Rinse the tester with pool water, and then scoop water up to the crease, preferably half a metre from the edge of the pool and at a depth of more than 10cm. Throw in the appropriate tablets. Close, shake and read the readings against the light after the tablets have dissolved.
Ideal values - Cl 0.4 - 0.8. Ph 6,8-7,3. Alkalinity 80 - 120 mg/l

Instructions for use:
1. Rinse the chambers of the tester with the water you will be checking.
2. Fill them to the brim with the water you are checking (from the pool).
3. Chlorine test - add DPD tablet No 1. Do not touch the tablet with your fingers.
4. pH test - add PHENOL RED tablet. Do not touch the tablet with your fingers.
5. Alkalinity test - add Alkatest tablet. Do not touch the tablet with your fingers
6. Place the cap on the test chamber and stir repeatedly.
7. After a while (after the DPD tablets have completely dissolved), compare your coloration with the scale (check the readings immediately after shaking, not after a few minutes, the results would not be true)

Recommended values. Alkalinity 80 - 120 mg/l
Note: Water should be drawn 30 cm from the edge of the pool and 30 cm below the surface.
Chlorine test will determine if there is enough chlorine in the pool to kill bacteria and algae. The Ph test determines the pH of the water (acidity, alkalinity).
Important: Test in the shade and early morning or late evening before adding chemicals. Store the tester in a dark and cool place. Keep test chambers clean and dry.
