Preva 50: A pool pump for everyone

The Preva 50 pool pump is a proven self-priming pump with pre-filter that is ideal for pools around 30m3. With the option of connecting via a 1 1/2" female thread or by gluing a 50mm pipe into the fitting included in the package, installation of this pump is easy and flexible High durability and reliability

The Preva 50 pump is tested and proven for use in saltwater, including seawater, making it the ideal choice for a wide range of applications. Each piece is individually tested, which is documented by a test sticker stuck to the manual. The pump body and diffuser made from glass fibre reinforced polypropylene add superior durability and resistance.

Practicality and efficiency

Transparent pre-filter cover allows easy inspection of strainer clogging and easy access to clean the basket. The sealing segment made of carbon-ceramic and AISI 316 stainless steel is mounted on a bronze plug for increased durability, while lifetime lubricated motor bearings guarantee long life and quiet operation.

Pooler type

For optimum performance, we recommend taking care to position the pump correctly during installation and protect it from possible flooding and frost. Then, when winterizing, place the pump in a dry area with a constant temperature, which will prolong its life. Our long experience with these pumps allows us to recommend them with full confidence to any pool owner.

Installing and selecting the right pump

To select the right pump for your pool, it is important to consider the volume of the pool and the length of the piping. The Preva 50 pump is ideal for pools of 30-40m3 when placed close to the pool, or for pools of 20-30m3 if the pump is located further away. Always ensure that water flows through the pump approximately once every 3 hours for optimum cleanliness.

Package contents and recommendations

Package includes pump including pre-filter and lid, 2x 50mm ID fittings and Czech instructions. For installation, we recommend using pool glue for PVC joints and consider installing a pool ball valve for easier handling of the pump.

Installation:

The pump must be mounted on a solid and smooth surface.The pump must be properly
mounted using the two mounting holes in the pump leg using two appropriate
screws or threaded bolts to prevent noise and oscillation that can
interfere with the pump's operation.</p

To achieve optimum self-priming, the pump should not be installed more than 2.5 m
above the water level.

The pump should be protected from possible flooding, proper ventilation should be ensured and
frost exposure should be avoided.If the pump is installed outdoors, it should
be protected from rain.

It is recommended to have closing valves on both the suction and pressure sides, so that the pump can be removed if necessary without draining the entire pipeline.</p

The suction pipe shall be at least the same diameter as the pump inlet. On the pressure side, it is
recommended to connect a pipe of the same diameter as the pump outlet.
The suction pipe must be laid with a slight incline to the pump to prevent the formation of
air cushions.

You can connect the pump to the pool circuit using, for example, 50mm tubing or flexi hose 50mm. The fitting for sticking is included in the pump, see picture above. We also recommend inserting a pool-ball-valve 50mm before and after the pump, especially if the pump is below the pool level. This will prevent the entire pool from leaking out when handling the pump. Use pvc pool joint adhesive

to adhere.

After winterizing the pool, it is recommended to put the pump in a dry area with a constant temperature (garage, etc.), this will prolong the life of the pump, it will not rust like in a wet sump by the pool when it is freezing cold in autumn and freezing in winter.</p
