The NEWBCC pump is designed for counter currents, water attractions, and waterfalls. Its fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene body and AISI 316 stainless steel components ensure long life and corrosion resistance.

Installation and Maintenance

The installation of the NEWBCC pump is easy and straightforward. The pump must be mounted on a solid and smooth surface using two mounting holes on the pump's base. It is important to protect the pump from flooding and frost, and for outdoor installations, from rain as well.

The pump is not self-priming and must be installed below the pool water level.

Safety Instructions and Winterization

To ensure safe and efficient operation, it is important to follow the installation and maintenance guidelines. After the season, it is recommended to store the pump in a dry area to extend its life. If necessary, the pump can be removed without draining the entire pipeline, thanks to the placement of shut-off valves on both the suction and discharge sides.

When Installing the CONTRA Pool Pump, You May Need:

You can connect the pump to the pool circuit using 75mm pipes, for example. We also recommend adding a ball valve before and after the pump, especially if the pump is below the pool water level. This will prevent the entire pool from draining during pump maintenance. Use pool adhesive for PVC connections.

Installation:

The pump must be mounted on a solid and smooth surface. The pump must be securely
fastened using two mounting holes on its base with appropriate screws or threaded studs to prevent noise and vibration, which could affect pump performance.

The pump must be protected from potential flooding, ensure proper ventilation, and protect it from frost. If the pump is installed outdoors, it should be
shielded from rain.

We recommend installing shut-off valves on both the suction and discharge sides, so the pump can be removed without draining the entire pipeline if necessary.

The suction pipe must have at least the same diameter as the pump inlet. On the discharge side, a pipe diameter matching the pump outlet is recommended. The suction pipe should be laid with a slight upward slope toward the pump to avoid air pockets.

After winterizing the pool, it is recommended to store the pump in a dry area with a stable temperature (such as a garage). This will extend the pump's life, preventing rust as opposed to leaving it in a damp sump near the pool during autumn and winter conditions.
