Pool tablets are essential for clean water in the pool. They are available with only chlorine and slow dissolution, or with multiple ingredients, where in addition to chlorine, an algaecide and a water clarifier are released.
Chlorine pool tablets
Single-component chlorine pool tablets are either larger - 200g, used for larger pools over 10m3, or smaller 20g tablets that can be used for smaller pools from 1000 liters.
You can easily use 20g chlorine tablets for hot tubs!
Pool tablets are placed into a floating dispenser or a skimmer.
If you put the tablets into a floating dispenser, you should account for longer tablet dissolution and may need to use more tablets at once to ensure sufficient chlorination of the pool. An alternative is to place the floating dispenser into the skimmer, allowing for easier regulation of dosing and partial protection of the skimmer from aggressive chlorine, while preventing children from spilling the tablets onto the pool floor during play.
When placed in the skimmer, the tablets dissolve quickly, which may cause damage to the plastic skimmer and the flexible pool hose leading to the pool filtration. Therefore, it's necessary to set the filtration to run several times a day to prevent excessive chlorine concentration.
As support during hot days, you can use sodium hypochlorite in a 20L package from our store. (We also have a smaller 10L package of sodium hypochlorite.)
